What if I need 100% Uptime?

While we offer some of the highest uptimes in the industry on our server, over time, there will be short periods of downtime and scheduled maintenance on the server. I you need near 100% uptime, ask us about our server monitoring and failover solutions. We can't get you to complete 100% uptime, but we can get very, very close.

This works by having a backup site on a seperate server. Your website is queried every few minutes to see if it's still up and serving the page to the internet. If your web page fails to load on any check, our failover software will automatically switch your DNS settings to a backup server. When the software detects that your primary server is back online, your site will automatically switch your DNS settings back to the primary server. Your site will never be down for more than just a couple minutes, even if your primary server suffers a major outage. The only downtime you would have would be the few minutes between your primary server failing and our server monitor checking to see if your server is up. When your primary server is back online, the switchover would occur with zero downtime.

We charge $19.95/month for this service which includes space on a shared backup server in a different geographic location than your primary, 6 DNS servers all on different Class C subnets, Server Monitoring, and Failover.
