POP3 Email Setup

Outlook, Eudora, Thunderbird, Mac Email

First of all, I should say that I prefer using Email Forwarders (forwarding to a Gmail Account) rather than POP3 Email. Here's why:

  • Access your email from anywhere.
  • It's Free to use.
  • Extremely Reliable.
  • Google is offering 6GB+ of storage space.
  • Easy search of all messages.
  • Easy to send replies from the address you desire.

Okay, now that we have that out of the way, here's how to setup POP3 Email.

Email settings for an Email Client (Outlook, Eudora, Thunderbird, MAC mail etc.):

Incoming mail server: mail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing mail server: mail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing mail server does require authentication.

Incoming mail port: 110 for POP3, 143 for IMAP
Outgoing mail port: 25 (If 25 does not work, try 26, as some ISPs block port 25)

Username is the same one as you use for webmail (the full email address).
(If entering "username@yourdomainname" does not work, try "username+yourdomainname")

** No SSL boxes should be checked **
